Never Lightly

Written By: Uri Lifshitz - Aug• 11•09

The heated haste of a swift summer

quickly fall from memory and grace,

but the cold communion of winter

that spring lustful prayers

is eternal heresy.

I shell stand

naked before the almighty,

nailed to the cross of her eyes

judging me

fit or unfit

for her bed.

A man must never take

a woman’s body

lightly.
